I actually think that Bendis has given us the worst iteration of Moon knight weve ever seen. Certainly Ive read the character since his original series and this was the volume i care the least about.
The whole 'one man Avengers team' was poorly conceived and set up with no explanation or justification. Spector is crazy but hes for the most part been crazy-like-a-fox crazy and his schizophrenia has always been treated carefully. Bendis however decides to allow Marc to spontaniously start manifesting new personalities and dressing up as other heroes rather than pushing the fact that he is Moon Knight and that Moon Knight is cool and strong and effective in his own way - not because he has a beserker rage like Wolverine, webs like spidey or a sanctamonious attitude like Cap...
Personally I preferred the idea pushed a little while back that Moon Knight is a little outgunned in the Marvel universe or perhaps past his best as a hero but can still make an impact through sheer guts, effort and ingenuity.
I wouldnt want him on a team either - give him his support network, his gagets, his vehicles and his alter egos but no team as that just dilutes him I feel.
: I got the hardcover today and i think echo and
: moon knight did well as a team. I did not
: think it was too bad not good but not bad. I
: will hold all judgment untill vol 2 comes

: 1-Get Bendis off the book;
: 2-They should not give up on MOON KNIGHT as
: a solo character. Bring him back in NYC,
: give him back his old supporting cast, put
: him in SECREAT AVENGERS and HEROS FOR HIRE.
: But street level characters need to get more
: room. It can't all be AVENGERS, X-MEN and
: SPIDER-MAN. There must be room for people
: like Misty Knight, Shroud, Paladin and
: characters like that. The street level
: people need a big story, a gang war story or
: something like that...No earth shattering,
: universe threatening event, maybe a new
: faction challenges Marvel's vigilantes...
