This link worked for me to read the chat (I had some problems with the link in the OP).
This is not what I hoped for, but MK's in the hands of a well respected team I'm optimistic that I'll enjoy it.
: I liked the idea of moving to LA... until I
: heard Marlene and Frenchie weren't coming as
: well... and Marc was going to be a movie
: producer or something.
: Movie producer? yeah, some front for crime
: And multiple personalities of other heroes?
: And the other heroes watch Marc mimick
: Is it even Marc any more, or is it
: I don't see how he will pretend to have
: their superpowers. It doesn't really make
: any logical sense to have a super hero act
: out parts of other super heroes. We buy Moon
: Knight to get Moon Knight... not a MK that
: acts like Spiderman or something. I don't
: know how to respond to this. I still wait
: with held breath to see how it turns out...
: but so far, it isn't looking that great. I
: don't really like the villain choices he
: had. They seem like generic type villains
: that fought other heroes and would make no
: real impact on MK. Idk about that LA
: kingpin... it comes off to me as a cheap
: plot gimick, but who knows, it may be
: I miss the pulpy, gritty psychological feel
: of Huston and Benson's book. The whole
: Shadowland thing kind of killed it for me...
: sorry for ranting, but it doesn't seem like
: this relaunch (compared to any other MK
: relaunch) is going to do much good. I hate
: how many times MK has been relaunched, it is
: getting annoying, and each time they
: relaunch it, I feel like its getting worse
: and worse anyway, as if the writers seem to
: try to appeal to a wide variety of comic
: book readers, by either having MK be a goody
: two shoe Avenger (who hardly shows up in
: Secret Avengers anyway) or a hero that takes
: on other hero's personalities. It doesn't
: seem fresh like the way The Bottom
: reinvented Moon Knight. THAT Moon Knight
: felt like something apart from the average
: hero, with a complex and depressing inner
: mind that we could see, instead of someone
: who simply saves the day over and over
: The writers should be appealing to the fan
: base, and not average readers that dislike
: gritty and psychological/supernatural
: comics. Just my two cents.
: This should probably go in another thread,
: but I really approved of that article that
: was written that "Comics that you
: should own." The author went into the
: religious fanatisism and mystery of the
: supernatural vs. psychotic inner conflicts.
: THAT is the moon knight I would love to
: read, not one where Bendis just forgets
: about Khonshu and Marlene and Frenchie and
: other important characteristics of MK.
: I'll just wait and see how it turns out. A
: little disappointed, but this is the comics
: industry, and that is bound to happen I
: suppose. You can't appeal to everybody.
: --Previous Message--
: Why does Marvel only want to throw money at
: failed/poor storylines and ideas lately?
: MK gets a break and.... the writer doesn't
: seem to understand the character.
: Super frustrated from what I've read......
: Is there a full log anywhere to read?
: At this rate I will be a decade older before
: there is a good and decent MK saga in the
: good old Big Apple.
