This stuff sounds really bad. Marlene preganant then losing the baby...doesn't work for her haracter at all (particularly nif she's apparently not affected by it)
ANd as for the ambiguity debate- I like the way Benson and Huston did it...pla both sides- Have there be a possible psychological explanation AND a possible supernatural explanation...that way it's up to the reader to decide what they like better
