So now Moon Knight AND Ghost Rider were involved in the big fight from Shadowland #3? And is Typhoid Mary attacking the Hand too? What?
It was odd enough that MK decided to go after Daredevil, who might be crazy (as was the thought at the time), instead of going after the serial killer who was obviously calling him out AND making himself incredibly easy to track.
The pregnancy plot device is coming along as predictable as expected...way to hold the tension.
Kinda makes MK look like an asshole for leaving her behind, and, apparently, without any supervision. Hell, he could've hired Deadpool to watch out for her...his mug hasn't been in enough books lately.
What can I say about Randall that hasn't already been said? I'm really looking forward to how they're gonna explain it. Even Hand magic would be a really tough sell at this point.
It really does smell of a retcon, whether intentional or not.
Shadowknight...Nightshadow........oi....and why is Randall's face torn to shreds when it's covered in bandages, but when he takes them off he looks normal?
: Gah! What the hell? I had this terrible
: feeling Shadowknight was going to turn out
: to be Randall (again.)
: I agree that the original Hatchetman story
: was the best story dealing with Rand and it
: didn't bother me so much when they brought
: him back (evil twins and sibling rivals are
: part of the territory.) It was how they
: chose to bring him back and the ridiculous
: story they used to explain his return that
: irked me. Then they killed him and brought
: him back as some demon/mutant thing called
: Nightshadow and that was even worse. I'm
: actually kind of hoping they simply
: retconned all that nonsense. In fact, I'm
: wondering if this is just an attempt to
: retcon nearly everything that happened
: during the 90's. I could actually maybe get
: behind that.
: Anyway, not everything about this issue was
: bad. The cover is awesome and the first
: half involving Khonshu and The Beast
: actually was kind of cool. Jake somehow
: throwing superdemon-Daredevil through a wall
: was sort of unexpected, but neato. I'm
: still not sure how it's supposed to fit into
: the main Shadowland story since the last
: issue of that book had MK hiding out in the
: fortress after the fight and Jake never even
: made it upstairs to the big fight.
: Other than that, some of the art in the
: latter half of the book was hard to look at
: and the dialog seemed sort of rushed. I
: guess I can kind of understand what with
: Hurwitz only having three issues to tell the
: story but even the story is a little
: hackneyed. Also, Marlene doesn't sound at
: all like Marlene. What's with all the
: 'honeys' and the whole domestic act? She
: didn't act like this when Hurwitz first
: starting writing her. Did Jake pay The
: Tinker to build a Stepford Wife version of
: Marlene or something?
: Thinking about all this is making my brain
: hurt. I'm just going to keep my fingers
: crossed and hope Randall has a good story
: for how he's back this time.
: --Previous Message--
: And I just have to add- did it really take
: that long for Marlene to be found, lying
: broken and helpless? Wouldn't Frenchie or
: Samuels have found her at least?
: --Previous Message--
: Agh I know! It was amazing up until the last
: I mean, if anything about Moon Knight's past
: was convoluted, it was Randall, involving
: clones and everything I think? And now this?
: Its ridiculous!
: Otherwise it was a great issue
: --Previous Message--
: I was really enjoying this issue up until
: ending. I loved the way Jake and Khonshu
: were interacting and the flashback was
: really good.
: BUT, Shadow Knight is Randall Spector? Are
: you kidding me? How many times does he have
: to die? The original death was classic. The
: second death was stupid, but even that was
: acknowledged in the last series. I can't
: believe they're bringing him back yet again.
: It seems like such a blinding continuity
: error, even worse than Bushman's face.
: My hope is that The Profile told him to say
: that he is Randall in order to mess with
: Moon Knight's mind. Somehow, I doubt it.
