None of the other members of the team with the exception of, maybe, Valkyrie and Ant-Man have been shown doing anything that really shows off their potential. The other members of the team get a panel here or a line of dialog there, but, really, it's been Steve's show the whole time. I'm still not sure why Rogers got to be the one who put on Nova's helmet during the big fight on Mars. If Worldmind was so worried a human couldn't take all that power at once, why didn't they just hand the helmet to Val? She's a freakin' goddess and it isn't like she was terribly wounded from her fight with Rich. She was standing right there with barely a scratch on her. It also would have been a chance for Brubaker to show off how awesome his cast can be, and it didn't make much sense that nobody said, "Wait, Steve. If your head explodes, we lose our greatest tactical advantage over this guy, your brain. Why don't I take this one?" You know Rhodey would totally go to bat for Steve so why didn't he?
Both MK and Black Widow were sort of wasted on this mission and even Beast, the team scientist, didn't get any cool moments where he got to show off his big brain. He mostly just followed Steve around saying, "It looks alien to me."
I'll keep buying the book as long as Moon Knight is a member of the team, but I really hope they give him and everyone else something to do besides serving as Steve's entourage. Maybe the Shang Chi arc coming up will let me finally see that rematch between Zaran and Moon Knight. That'd be worth reading.
: Outside of the outstanding first issue, MK has
: been written vanilla as they come and will
: look extremely out of place if it continues
: the same way (the team, after all, gained
: interest because of the unexpected
: differences in the membership).
