Of course, we've seen at least two alt. universe Moon Knights since that issue what with Marvel Zombies and the Ultimate universe. I don't really count House of M since it was really just an altered 616 universe.
I think my favorite alternate Moon Knight from that issue was actually Dino Knight, the crime fightin', six-gun shootin' T-Rex from the Old (Cretaceous period) West. They need to resurrect him and give him a cameo in Pet Avengers.

: I do remember a comment by some writer that
: Moon Knight has more in common with
: Nightwing than Batman (though the reasoning
: escaped me, it might have to do with
: truncheons). I do believe many Moon Knight
: authors/writers have also done Batman for
: DC.
:
: A great parody of the "links"
: between Moon Knight and other comics can be
: seen in Marc Spector: Moon Knight #42 when
: Moon Knight travels through the multiverse
: with his clone Moon Shade to meet all of the
: other "Moon Knights" including
: Darkmoon (a Batman-style Dark Knight Moon
: Knight), Greywing (who sort of looks like
: Nightwing), Mr Spector & Ivory (I think
: it is Green Hornet), Moon Ghost (Space Ghost
: my favorite, with sidekicks and monkey), and
: Moon Man with Moon Boy (Adam West-style
: Batman and Robin) along with others.

: Hey guys,
: Does anyone know if there is a connection
: between MK and DC Comics' Azrael (Jean-Paul
: Valley)? Given that their outfits almost
: match, their fighting styles are very
: similar and they both are driven (for good
: or for bad) by a deity of some kind, seems
: like it's too much to be a coincidence.
:
: MK has always been considered by some fans
: to be a Batman rip-off and Azrael is kind of
: an emotional kid who continually wants
: Batman's approval (and, at one point,
: inherits the Batman name), so it's possible
: that he was created to be a tongue-in-cheek
: parody of Moonie.
:
: Or maybe Denny O'Neil just loves writing
: characters with Kafka-sized baggage. Well, I
: guess that's a given...
:
: Sorry if this is an old argument within the
: community, but I've really only been into
: the MK scene for a few years. I just didn't
: know if anyone at DC acknowledged that the
: two characters were so similar, or if
: they're supposed to be analogous to each
: other.
