The return of Bushman could have went really well, but in my opinion it became VERY anti-climatic in the last few issues, like when MK was trying to hold up the building, Bushman simply said: "I'll leave you to them." and lets his asylum army converge on MK. Would the character of Bushman have REALLY done such a thing? I mean, he was hired personally to destroy MK, so why not just start punching the heck out of him right there? What did Bushman have better to do, to have to leave, than stay and fight Lockley?
The end fight scene could have been a lot more epic in my opinion too.
I miss Marlene also. Can she be used as an actual character, instead of simply a sexual outlet for Lockley? She has a more fierce character that should be explored, rather than being in one tiny picture sitting in a bathtub (issue 9)
Although I do like what Hurwitz was doing to Frenchie. With the exception of what I saw in "zee" preview of the Shadowland book, there was a little TOO much emphasis on the "zee's" and french accents.
MK got an extremely small part in the last secret avengers book, so i'm just going to wait till the paper back for it. Dislike the small amount of characterization!
Ok, rant over

: Maybe this is just me wanting to see more for
: MK to do with Secret Avengers, but it seems
: Bushman has the potential to be a perfect
: villain for a Secret Avengers story. The
: team was set up to deal with situations
: before they get so out of hand you need the
: combined efforts of the X-Men, Fantastic
: Four and Squirrel Girl to handle them. The
: Barracuda thing is a good example.
: Barracuda is a chump who got his hands on a
: powerful artifact. A more powerful villain
: with larger goals, say Attuma, could have
: easily taken out Barracuda, gotten his hands
: on the glove and used it to start a war or
: call up some ancient Cthulhu-esque sea
: monster to swallow Manhattan or something.
: Bushman, as much as I like the character is
: the same sort of villain as Barracuda. No
: powers and relatively unknown to the hero
: community but with enough pull to gather a
: mercenary army and get the resources he
: needs to wind up with some superweapon
: stolen from Project Pegasus or just be used
: as a lackey by a more powerful villain. The
: guy once took over a small country and made
: himself president for life (until Moon
: Knight stepped in) so he seems like the just
: the sort of dude the Secret Avengers should
: be fighting. Regardless of how anyone feels
: about his return, he's back now so I hope he
: doesn't wind up a forgotten Z-lister.
