First of all the cover. Apart from the fact that it was almost a carbon copy of the cover for #7 but with MK holding a knife rather than a gun I thought the art was lacking.
Speaking of art I really dont rate Huats work and dont think it fits the style weve come to expect from a MK book, it was far too cartoony and I cant imagine that either the cover or the internal art will attract many fans to the book.
As for the storyline I thought there was an important message in there but it was explored in very basic and simplistic terms. Moonknight wrestles with his own conflicted feelings about killing, perhaps realising that characters like Deadpool who are willing to take life are a necessity and almost having a relapse into killing himself until someone else took the responsibility away from him. To a degree weve already seen this issue explored in the first arc of the series so perhaps it was unecessary to do it again so soon but in any case as they did decide to touch on it again I thought they could have done a better job of it.
Finally - moonswords and wrist parachutes? Give me strength....
