I got two quick comments regarding my original post and the reactions its engendered:
1. Despite my criticism I still buy the book and will continue to do so. I am a MK fan.
2. I hate seeing mediocrity praised. I know a good comic story and Hurwitz is not delivering.
Thank you and drive safely. You're welcome.

: Well as this is a 'discussion' forum where
: people are welcome to air their views
: positive and negative I would say if youre
: so tired of reading people criticise the
: title then stop coming here which as advice
: is exactly as diplomatic as you saying 'stop
: complaining or stop reading'.
:
: As far as I can see not a single person on
: this forum has bashed the book as being
: terrible, theyve simply stated that not
: everything about the book is to their liking
: which strikes me as balanced and
: constructive criticism which should be
: welcome here. Are you saying that the
: current title is perfect? If not then why
: shouldnt people criticise it? Thats their
: privilage and its no ones right to tell them
: not to.
:
: As it is I too think that this run has been
: a little dumbed-down - hitting all the big
: red buttons to get a reaction - and I too
: dislike all the gadetry, NOT because it
: makes him a Batman clone (which is a valid
: argument) but because not all of our MK
: educations started with The Bottom and some
: of us are old enough to have collected Marc
: Spector: Moonknight which in the latter half
: of its run was absolutely dreadful and used
: alot of the same gimmicks that were seeing
: in Hurwitz run now.
:
: The team up with Deadpool strikes me as
: little more than a marketing ploy and this
: two issue arc appears completely pointless
: filler material. I would say that Hurwitz
: run whilst not necessarily unentertaining
: isnt even as high brow, interesting or
: complex as Bensons run.
:
: And if anyone dislikes the fact that I dont
: think the current run is one big ticket tape
: parade full of sunshine then feel free to
: follow your own advice and go elsewhere,
: dont read it or dont reply but if you have
: any kind of constructive reaction to my
: comments or anything to say about the book
: at all go right ahead because thats what the
: forum is here for and we should all be
: grateful that we can air our individual
: views - hopefully unmolested.

: well said mate, a very eloquent way to say
: "quit your b###hin' " only problem
: i see is that i believe that everyone thinks
: the internet is for that purpose, so little
: control in their own lives, lets rage about
: a comic character on the message boards....
: No one is capable of being happy that MK is
: in print, and has been for four years
: running. I find that awesome, and anyone
: who can keep giving me MK stories, good and
: bad, is my friend..

: I'm just tired of everyone complaining about
: every issue since the end of the bottom. if
: you can't enjoy moon knight anymore, then
: stop reading. everyone of my friends i've
: turned moon knight fans. i am always happy
: to read the now moon knight coming out. and
: i used to come to this board to talk with
: other moon knight fans. not hear everyone
: complain about every nook and cranny. how
: can moon knight be successful if supposed MK
: fans wont even read it?
:
: im sorry if i ranted there a bit. maybe its
: just me. I read comics to enjoy them, to
: take a step away from reality and enjoy the
: ride. and MK has always been my favorite.
: and he will always be my favorite. i like
: moon knight, not the writers and artists,
: but that character.

: I understand what you're saying. For me it's
: just walking a fine line. My disagreements
: have been more with certain aesthetics of
: the stories...i.e. the Bushman resurrection
: which is ridiculous... or the MoonGuns....At
: the same time, I found plenty of classic MK
: moments in the first arc and did not find
: the soul of the character to be lacking
: there. Did it feel a little rushed at times?
: Yes. Does it feel as if it's aiming for the
: rare critics-and-fans-both-love-it
: achievement? Yes. But where there were
: lemons, even if they were his lemons, he
: made some lemonade out of it IMO. So I've
: been fairly satisfied. I think MK is a very
: tough comic to write, I feel like Benson got
: closest to how I really feel MK is, but that
: wasn't perfect either. The next Deadpool
: issue does kind of look like a disaster but
: if the Spidey team up is good I will
: continue to have faith. I don't want a shiny
: Batman character either, this is all I can
: do though. Unless I write my own arc, and I
: don't know if I can do that because I don't
: have enough ideas..just a strong
: direction/vision.
