All the pundits like to compare MK to Batman by stating that he is the poor man's version of Batman. I like to offer a different opinion...Batman's origins may have been set in the crime noir-style of the late 1930s and early 1940s, but in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s he was nothing but camp. MK was what Batman WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. Bats was not the tough, hard-edged character of the Miller run in the late 1980s and the Moench run in the late 1980s and mid 1990s that we like to associate with in the movies.
