I don't understand the cover art either. Is Moonie turning into a Demogoblin creature or something? It doesn't seem to tie into the arc's content. Not that it always has to, but I don't like it when it strays too far from what's going on with the arc or character. Extreme examples of this are the X Men books that have Wolverine somewhere on the cover but nowhere in the book! Anyway, does anybody have any ideas as to what the cover art may be referring to? Maybe it's a look at MK's screwed up vision of himself? What Khonshu wants from him? What do ya think?

: Thought someone was impersonating MK -
: 'green' eye, freakish hand, bracelet bling.
: The cover is evocative - though still cant
: figure it's significance unless it's simply
: prelude to MK's countless 'victims' to come.
:
: First off, the art was unique, expressive,
: and really fit the mood of the book.
: True. Solid effort. Some good panels and
: some not as good as the good ones. Very nice
: silent action layouts throughout escpecially
: in the middle around the winch/glide to the
: warehouse bust.
:
: I love the story. MK taking it to the
: streets is a
: great way to ease into a new arc.
: Better than the last arc. First time the
: Bushman plot device was less intrusive
: though they really should have mentioned the
: delusion in some way, even if not in words.
: Also, they better resolve/absolve MK of his
: extreme visciousness. Punisher, Mr Terror,
: and Foolkiller are enough graphic
: anti-heroes to logically be walking around
: with their own series in this post-SHRA
: time.
:
: This business with Killer Shrike is going to
: be
: troublesome. Not only did Moonie beat down
: the wrong guy at the end of the issue, but
: Shrike was a member of the Thunderbolts (and
: may still be?).
: Not to mention the disturbing scarring and
: maiming.
:
: If Stark was taking a "wait and
: see" approach
: to his registered lunatic dilemma, this is
: going to
: force him to act.
: He looks 20 years younger here. On the one
: hand Tony's inter-title placement/whoring is
: good; on the other hand it undermines the
: integrity of his changing/bending decisions
: in regards to 'friends'. Regardless, the
: Registration Card angle is interesting.
: (Terrible headline title on his page. Too
: bad the other screens didn't have images
: like the Cap one.)
:
: Then again, Shrike's connection to the
: Thunderbolts may
: mean that Stark has acted, and is setting
: Moonie up.
: Just a thought.
: Pretty sure all official connections to past
: memberships are null and void since the 50
: States Initiative Teams were activated.
:
:
: All that being said, Benson did an alright
: job for a newbie.
: Agreed.
:
: My biggest gripe with his
: writing was his inner monologue for MK. It
: seemed overly dramatic and cliche, and it
: left the character feeling a bit empty. I
: miss the clever grit we got from Huston, but
: I'm sure Benson will continue to improve.
: Agreed. For example the opening was good
: though it seemed to start right in the
: middle of his narrating. Also, have come and
: gone with the title to more or less guess
: the identities of characters here but new
: readers would likely get into the story more
: with the characters more properly
: identified.
:
:
: He did an excellent job considering this is
: only his second comic book.
: Did not know that! Am cautiously optimistic
: of the new direction. Just checked out the
: cool interview and preview pages at
