I dont think it's the writers schedule that plagues this book but the artists and big events which Marvel decides come first.
: You're right, I may be jumping to
: conclusions (I completely overlooked the
: Khonshu comment). I have no intention of
: dropping the book, I'm just a little nervous
: about this hollywood writer taking over.
: After reading the interview again, the way
: he describes MK as gritty and conflicted is
: actually pretty encouraging. It is also
: encouraging to read that he already has his
: first five books written, which could help
: to avoid some of the delays that have
: plagued the title.

: I didn't get that from the interview. I
: interpreted what Benson said to mean Moon
: Knight wouldn't be getting super powers -
: not that there won't be a supernatural
: element in the book. He talks about Khonshu
: and that is supernatural right there. Give
: the book a chance. He seems thoughtful to
: me.

: I don't think I like this guy. It seems as
: though he plans on abandoning the
: supernatural side of MK completely, which
: would be just as bad as abandoning the
: psychosis aspect and saying "he's not
: crazy, Khonshu is definately real".
: There needs to be a balance that keeps us
: guessing; it should be handled with subtlety
: and left open to interpretation. Benson
: doesn't really seem to understand the
: character of MK, which is suprising after
: handling characters as complicated and
: layered as Bernie Mac. I hope he was just
: focusing on the present lack of powers for
: Layton's sake, because taking the mystery
: out of Moon Knight would be a terrible
: mistake.
