Is there any more of that type of sci-fi in MK? I got the impression that, when it did go fantasy, it was more along the lines of Egyptian legends and that stuff. Was he a street hero like Batman, "villain"-fighter like Batman or supernatural like Doc Strange?
: I think that the
: spy/supernatural/sci-fi/superhero theme was
: Moench's m.o. with MK. For me the story was
: atypical because it was a little more heavy
: on the sci-fi than usual (very X-files), and
: it was also kind of crammed into 4 books
: when it may have been better off
: decompressed into 8 or 10.

: I just finished reading the late 90's MK
: mini
: after admiring the look of the character for
: so long. Never read a single issue, but
: this was $4 for 4 issues, so I took the
: bait.
:
: One of the best stories I've ever read. I'm
: going to guess there are a lot of Moonies
: out there who really resent it, but it was
: just such a unique blend of spies, sci-fi,
: and superheroes that it really hit all the
: right notes for me. Again, I'm guessing,
: but I assume the rest of the original Moon
: Knight isn't like this? If there are any
: similar stories/themes, I'd love to know.
