: So a reread the issue again and it was still
: every bit as good. Something occured to me
: though that I didn't even realize before.
: The profiler says that the "entity's
: influence waned" BEFORE the injury,
: which I guess makes sense since he would be
: harder to injure otherwise. So did Marc lose
: his powers because he lost his heart? Am I
: reading into this wrong? Maybe now that he
: has a reason to fight again his legs will
: heal?

I think that with the exception of Fist of Konshu and his WCA appearances, Konshu's influence on Marc has been limited to a spiritual sense of purpose and the occasional ressurection. I do remember an issue in which Marc was confined to a wheelchair and told he may never walk again only to triumphantly rise out of the chair (under a full moon?) in what seemed to be an act of sheer willpower with some insinuations of possible supernatural intervention. I always liked the lingering possibility that the Konshu's influence and assistance in many cases was just in Marc's head (obviously not in the case of his ressurections), serving as inspiration, justification, or rationalization for going out night after night and doing what he did without the luxury of superpowers.
Marc's legs healing is'nt such a farfetched prediction, but I don't think it would be as easy as getting another taste of vengance. I think he'll have to fight his way through a lot more suffering (maybe even die again?) before he regains his former glory (and possibly his former physical prowess). Or maybe he'll just be a grumpy, dogged, half decrepid, battle hardened, borderline psychotic, ass whupin', scary son of a gun who no one will want to mess with because he's willing to get dirty if that's what it takes to get he job done. I can't wait to see the path that Huston has laid out for him.
