I understand that there have been a lot of gay characters come up in comics lately, but I think it works here. Frenchie bieng gay came as a shock to Marc and helped drive them apart more. However, Frenchie did nothing wrong so Marc feels bad about it. I really think it was a good idea. As for the new gay characters, consider this: When you look at the total number of fictional heroes in the MU and DCU, homosexuals are still statistically underrepresented in comics.
: I strongly agree. I really don't get it
: either. How is this helping Marvel and DC
: sell books?! I don't see Frenchie being gay
: as having anything to do with MoonKnight and
: as a plot twist is incongruent with the
: theme. If Frenchie was a traitor or
: something... maybe. It just baffles me
: because I don't know who they think they are
: impressing or kowtowing to by doing this.
: Very annoying and pretentious.

: Frenchie gay???
:
: This is one thing I am really getting tired
: of in comics these days. It seems like every
: new comic these days has a gay character in
: it. I have nothing against gays or lesbians,
: it is just that it is being used too much as
: a tool to get attention.
:
: - DC's Obsidian turned gay out of no where
: - DC's Batwoman is lesbian
: - Hulkling
: - Wiccan
: - Blok of X-Force
: - Ultimate Colossus
: - Electro
: - Flatman
: - Sunfire (Exiles)
: - Spider-Woman (Exiles)
:
: And there are others I can't think of at
: the moment.
:
: With that said, I can't wait to read the
: issue myself (most likely this weekend I can
: make it to the comic shop). So far I have
: enjoyed the build-up and back stories on
: Marc Spector brought into the title.
