Posted by AB Anyone know of foundations set up to help care for aged horses rescued from slaughter. I looked up Ryers Retirement farm but cannot afford the donation fee. I am hesitent to put him up for adoption because of his needs and age. THANKS!

I rescued an aged (28-30yo) arabian gelding from slaughter over 5 years ago. He has not been servicably sound since I got him. I am struggling financially with the cost of maintaining him (he requires special feeding, including rice bran).
