rice bran (loose, un-stabilized). you can free feed it +mix with beet pulp. foal will like it too. the beauty of this is that it has a great fat source + protein & b vitamins. because of the powder form, they do not gorge & are required to drink. you do not need to soak the beet pulp when mixed with the ricebran. i have used this combo & as a free choice for 15+ years for old horses & mares/foal. calf manna & alfalfa might be hard on her due to age. old arabs are at risk for entroliths which could also contribute to her weight. her teeth may need floating as well.
