I rescued a23-25yr.old mare. Her reg.name is B II Gyza.Foals sire is Forturnate Slash. Mare has a 7wk.old filly on her. She was bones when I got her. The previous owner was not deliberately neglecting her but out of work. I have been giving her Senior feed,Mare Plus,Alfalfa cubes, cracked corn in a warm water mash 3 X's a day. Vet did stool sample;very bad case of 'blood worms'. I wormed her per his instructions and added calf manna to her ration the same day. She was eating everything I gave her; since adding calf manna and worming she is eating less. I am new at this. I have always had young horses - weanlings to 9 yrs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, I am unfamiliar w/arab bloodlines any info out there? Thanks So Much
