hi, i have a couple questions about my 5 week old amstaff puppy that i just brought home. my first would be at what age shoul they be taken from the mother? some places i see 4-5 weeks while other places say 6-8 weeks. the reason i ask is my pup is 5 weeks and 2 days old and we brought him home last night. at times he seems fine and will play with his toys but then other times he seems nervous and starts shaking. since got him yesterday, he has barely eaten anything and was refusing to drink as well. my wife then gave him a bottle with milk and he drank it almost all up.
also he sleeps almost all the time. and he loves to snuggle up in our arms. if we put him down in his crate he immediatly wakes up and starts whining and shaking. 4
