Posted by phatdubhed on 4/29/2006, 3:30 am According to the Grand Comics Database Project (www.comics.org), this issue features art by Tony De Zuniga (pencils) and Steve Austin (inks). However, apart from one or two panels that are distinctly De Zuniga, the art looks more like the work of UK artist Jerry Paris. Paris is credited as FiC's "Art Asst" throughout, which seemed largely restricted to relettering panels and providing spot illustrations. The storyline seems to be unchanged from the brief synopsis of Strange Tales #177 I've read online, but I'm curious to know whether this was redrawn and why. I've posted a scan of the final page of The Golem as it appeared in FiC. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated!

OK, this one's been bugging me recently, so hope you cna help. Forces In Combat, was published by Marvel UK in 1980, a time when the company notoriously 'hacked & slashed' US stories to fit the required page count/format. FiC featured reprints of The Golem's adventures from Strange Tales v1. I'm particularly intrigued by The Golem's final adventure in Strange Tales #177, and apparently reprinted in FiC #25-27.
