Last year I had the privilege of cheering for Goldsboro High School’s Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad. While cheering I felt a burst of self-confidence, developed great leadership and teamwork skills, I had a wonderful time making new friends, participating in competitions, showing school spirit at games and definitely looked forward to cheering for Varsity the following year. I understood that participating on the Varsity Cheerleading Squad would be costly so I set out on a quest to find a job. My search began locally but was unsuccessful so I headed to California in hopes of finding work. After filling out countless applications and attending numerous amount of interviews I, unfortunately, still had no job.
