Honestly, I'd like to see Alpha Flight back as a team, even if they don't have a comic. I"m a fan of the team, some characters, but the team.
So have Guardian be a Canadian who leads the team; have them work often with teams from other countries, like Russia, the U.S., and Japan, but AF takes the lead most often. They work internationally. Sasquatch, Puck (after all, having an immortal inside of you must have fringe benefits), Arachne, and some ex-avenger who isn't a leader, like (maybe) Black Widow, Black Knight, or an x-man like Warpath or Rachel Summers or whoever.
Feedback, Persuasion, Pathway, and Goblyn are still alive, but each only has value in the team based on what kind of AF team we're developing:
- if it deals with espionage and secret ops, go with Persuasion, Pathway
- violent, add Goblyn
- mutants and powerful, look at Talisman, Feedback, Box
- if it goes closer to how I say it really wouldn't work with mega-powerful characters but it would work with fighters, so no Talisman but yes Sasqutach.
