Was disappointed with most of the issue but the Weapon Omega chapter was... okay. Not going to reword this time 'round.
Lots of action scenes for a change. Nice references to Hawkeye and Jarvis. Spot on USAgent characterization.
The shield design seemed different with it's 2 tone appearance, and if so, dont really care for this matter of fact reimagining of it. The spikey rips on Walker's chainmail look dynamic but make little sense. And the shield used to stop energy bolts has Marvel precedent but Pointer's ability looks more area effect than projectile lightning so it seemed a little lame. The broken foot works, though.
The toture chamber shot makes Agent Brown more and more despicable. If he gets off with a 'just following orders' he'll pull of quite the Gyrich maneuver. Curious who is playing Brown playing SHIELD.
At least, Arachne and Langkowski got one NEW flashback panel, that wouldve worked better with altered layout. Walt's naivety about the suit and self deprecation to Richards seemed off.
The final panel looks a bit more dangerous than a broken foot! Am not overly excited about the 4 chapters next issue but gotta support the
team!

: I heard that someone is lurking somewhere in
: the background and it's he or her that's
: really in control of Pointer. Something
: like Pointer and Walker fight, no real
: winner, somebody other than Agent Brown or
: Tony Stark is behind Pointer's, uh,
: experiments.
:
:
: Its a training session - a pretty brutal one
: which starts with Agent beating the crap out
: of Pointer and basically calling him a punk
: and bringing up his killing of the original
: Alpha Flight to motivate him into putting up
: a decent fight.
:
: Half way through the fight Pointer gets
: given a little 'juice' by the shadowy
: figures who have been stealing super
: heroes/villains and starts to fight back a
: little, although its clear Agent still has
: the upper hand.
:
: At the end of the story Pointer manifests
: the powers - and apparantly also some
: aspects of 'Raptore' (which was the name of
: one of the missing villains which Agent run
: past a befuddled Stark a couple of issues
: back) and he tears into Agent.
:
: The last we see is a maddened Pointer
: ripping shreds off Agent (who is off panel)
: with gouts of blood flying and a desperate
: Agent trying to explain to Pointer that hes
: being 'played'.
:
: A good issue I thought. Also a new artist on
: this issue, but a very good one.
