Being Canadian, I was a little put back that Omega Flight [or whatever they're called now] had US heroes as members. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge marvel-maniac, but what put AF apart from other comics was in that AF did things their way, and it was mostly done in Canada. I have heard many negative things said about Canada in the US media, but we have our own agenda, our own beliefs, our own methods of doing things, and getting things done. We are not the United States. That is what made previous incarnations of AF so great. I'd revamp, nay, reload AF, and make them the powerhouse they could be, that of being on par with any Avengers roster. Canada has prided itself in being one of the foremost peacekeeping countries in the world, and I would introduce that aspect into AF. I haven't followed Marvel much lately, but I did read CIVIL WAR, and was very impressed. I would have Canada utilize a registration, but not to the heavy-handedness exibited by Stark. In Canada it is required to register any firearm owned, and a superpowered human in my opinion should be registered. Now mutants on the other hand, they are born with their gifts and would thereby not be inclined to register their powers for their powers are a part of them. This is a loop that I would introduce into the Marvel Universe. This would lead to alot of mutants possibly fleeing into Canada seeking amnesty and protection from prosecution, etc. I'd love a crack at AF, but Marvel, and most other big publishers don't want to give a poor ol' boy from Nova Scotia Canada a chance. I'll have to stick to indies and cartoon scripting I guess. I hope whatever is done, Marvel finds a creator[s] that not only have a passion for the AF characters, but a passion for Canada to boot [I had to add that]. Beauty, eh....?
