Took it to be Redhead being held against her will by an authority figure or agency. She asked for a lawyer. Seemed like she was involuntarily or unknowingly feeding Pointer power. Seemed like Pointer was stupified as to how he 'got better'. And here and the mini he's written as sincerely not wanting to hurt anyone - so, his presumed 'absorbing' is unintentional on his part. Still, it's refreshing to get TWO new characters introduced (maybe 3 including Tentakill and Benning). Now we have double the chance to meet a new face compared to the what we ended up with Daisy in the mini.
Took it to be SHIELD is most likely included as part of the 'joint' part in the US/Canadian team (which they should have plainly said since the beginning instead of 3 Americans on an Canadian team of 1 Talisman). USAgent is online the whole battle yet at the end seems to independently initiate contact someone outside of Agent Brown's team. "...for awhile there it was looking pretty gloomy." - suggests he was aware of some other concern with Pointer. And the part about "watchin' the skies for a storm front" screams USAgent is now DoubleAgent. Not necessarily nefarious but likely a new/different agenda for him stick around.
Both intriguing little mysteries but 12 months of cover price to find 'em out? ...*sigh*... Hoping for less decompression and more familiar faces next issue.
