Posted by Doug on 7/14/2007, 1:42 am, in reply to "Omega Flight is the best there is." Marvel is being very coy about OF becoming an ongoing but why the heck not?? I have a sneaky feeling we'll see #6 in December, not earlier though. San Diego or Toronto con are the next places and announcement could be made, right? While I really, really don't trust Marvel editorial (after all, they were responsible for Lobdell and promising us we'd be oh so happy with our OF ongoing, ongoing for only 5 months!! Liars.). However. money talks and Flight has always made money for Marvel, while She-Hulk...not so much. And Marvel Comics Presents will sort of feature Guardian for 12 issues, while he's in Omega Flight too, after the 'Initiative' garbage disappears. Really, OF or AF or the Flight will be an ongoing if anyone running Marvel has brains left (hard to say, OF was downgraded after all and AntMan, Iron Fist, and more minis (The oh so boring Initiative, for example) got upgraded to ongoings, though nobody buys them....). Three cheers for the Flight ongoing!!!!

Well, with OF outdoing Joe Q's fave, She-Hulk, plus Iron Fist, EXiles, AntMan, Cable/Deadpool, and just missing beating out New New Warriors, OF is likely to become an ongoing sooner rather than later. OF #4 sold out in my closest store very early and they had ordered extra (I was lucky to be in town, doctor's appointment and the car needed fixing so we made a day trip...). 315
