Posted by USAgentfan Those are extremely healthy figures - better than Captain America, better than Daredevil, better than the Punisher, and better than a whole host of other established Marvel titles. It is even more of an achievement when you consider that Omega Flight is still only a mini-series at the moment, and such series traditionally sell much less than ongoing titles. So heres fingers crossed. I dont think the creative team who put this title together, or the fans who have clearly been buying the title by the armful, could have possibly made a better argument for Marvel to make this book an ongoing. My only concern is that Omega Flight may be riding the wave of the Civil War/Initiative story arcs, so a true impression of the titles popularity may not be visible until the end of this mini-series. Hopefully #2 and beyond will produce and maintain similar sales. Theres little chance of Omega Flight maintaining a circulation of 60,000, but solid sales of 30,000+ (thats what the Punisher pulls in) should maintain its long term survival. Anything that stays a healthy distance away from cancellation numbers, that tend to range between 18,000 and 24,000 depending, would be acceptible.

You will all know that Omega Flight #1 sold out, but some of you may not know that the official sales figures stand at a little under 60,000 issues sold. That does not include any issues sold as part of any reprints. 310
