This guy Michael kind of was caught in the middle of something, and I´m sure he still hasn't figured out or even come to terms with what happened. He was just brought into this chain of events. Like James, like Peter Parker, like Steve Rogers, like David Banner. Someone got caught in the middle of events. Could be you, could be me, could be anyone.
Now from those instant and singular moments, we've seen the birth of some of Marvels greatest heros. Most of them by chance. Some of them by choice. Now imagine if, having done what Michael did and someone explaining you the importance of the people you've killed, the chance arises for you to become more than what you are. The opportunity for you to redeem your dids is posed before you. Would you take that responsibility?
I'm as sorrow as you for the deaths that have been perpetrated.
And those deaths's responsibility sure must be atributed to a certain bald guy other than Michael.
But now, truth is, something has to be done about their demise. And I don't think Sasquatch just went there to lecture this guy. I mean what use would that have in terms of storytelling. I think you're right: he went there to confronte him. Show him the truth and consequences of his acts, which will be shown to him in flashback. And then he'll make that mailman the ultimate question, and ask him what he's gonna do about it.
And maybe, just maybe, this guy, like you, like me, like everyone else, may dare to carry the mantle and burden of the one he killed.
I´m sure if he feels so guilty for what he was forced to do has I think he feels, he will assume that responsibility.
And I'm also sure Mike Oeming will find in Michael's past and maybe his future a very good reason for him to have been there in that particular moment in time.
: But do you really want to read:
: US Agent, "My God, the portal is
: closing! Sasquatch, Talisman, get out of
: "I'll save the day!"
: US Agent, "Thank Heavens, it's Alaskan
: Mailman, Canada's Greatest Hero!"
: We'll have to wait and see. I think
: Sasquatch is telling him that killing
: people, even when it's not all your fault,
: is bad. He isn't giving him the suit to
: say, "Sorry Xorn's disembodied energy
: 'made' you kill all those people, allowed
: you to murder all my friends and almost me
: too. To make it all better want some ice
: cream? No? How about a powerful e-m
: It's not that Mailman won't be Guardian,
: it's that he shouldn't. An American as
: Guardian? A mailman, from Alaska, whose
: only claim on the role is that he can absorb
: energy and is easy to manipulate, and knows
: how to kill, appaently?? Better not be him.
