I don't belive they could do enough retconning to make the mail man Guardian. After all, Oeming wouldn't have pushed his series with a character who he didn't know and didn't know would survive NA. Plus, how in heck would he ever get the Guardian suit, who in their right mind would give a mailman from Alaska a powerful suit because he has to make amends for all the people he murdered? Why would an outsider think he wouldn't murder again??
