According to Occam's Razor, IMO, the reason Tigra got punked so bad was because Bendis doesn't like her. True, Hood has a supernatural cloak meaning a writer can pull almost any power out his *** he wants to make Hood tougher, and Tigra was just one of a ton of heroes Bendis could have used to make his point how tough Hood is. But IIRC, didn't Bendis have Jarvis call Tigra a B**** for no good reason (and Avengers readers should know Jarvis was in tears when Tigra left the East Coast team back in about Avengers #217 or so)?
