Were you doing anything else to the car, or did it just start doing this one day? I assume you looked around the "aig guide housing" to see if a hose is off or plug/cap or something when you checked for air leaks.
I had a similar problem after replacing my head gasket. In the end, I replaced the distributor cap and rotor, resistors, coil and the "green wire". I also cleaned the grounds on the harness near the injectors. In the end, of all that crap, I finally got it. I'm sure there was a better and cheaper way, but other than knowing it needed gas, air and spark, spark seemed to be my problem as I had a fuel pressur gauge on the rail and I had pressure. I put a timing lite on different plug wires and that's when I discovered I had a spark problem.
