1988 928 S4 AT

Hello, There is a wire harness coming from the engine area. One lead plugs into the timing belt tension warning system just behind the dip stick. Another lead (white) approx. 1.5 ft long ending in a connector goes ?????. It looks like it was plugged in but broke. Where does it go? Regards, David
