Tire size 1988 S4 AT

Hello All, I spent a lot of time and beer polishing my 16" porsche OEM wheels to mirror status. I now need to buy tires. Is it OK to change the rear to 245-50-16? The 245-45-16 realy limits my choices. Also, I want quiet tires, Dunlops handle great but are LOUD. Any suggestions?
