Your car has a dual-piston master with each piston feeding diagonal brakes. My guess is that it is not releasing enough to allow the fluid to move back into the reservoir. When it starts to heat, it applies pressure and that takes off.
I'd check the pre-loading at the pedal. If that's fine then you should get a new master cylinder.
