Hi Everybody,
I'm hoping someone out there can give me some advice on my 1985 928S (twin cam 4.7L).... Porsche Australia are even scratching their heads with this one.
I recently asked them to change the cam belt and water pump + some other assorted odds n ends.... Once they had the water pump off they noticed the hydraulic tensioner was at its last adjustment and suggest I get a new one while they had thee motor apart which I agreed. New hydraulic tensioner arrived from germany a week later and it was found to have a different offset?!... Porsche assured me they ordered the right part and they now use a backing plate for this new part?!... The new backing place arrived today (another week later!) and it still doesn't sit right?!... I now have to wait another 4 days for germany to come back to us?!
Has anyone else encountered this problem?!
