Okay, I've been missing in action around here for a while, over-worked, under-paid, suffering from AHS (abused husband syndrome, ha ha), but now that the heat of the Tennessee summer is over I'm back driving the ole 28 on pretty days and it is as much of a blast as ever.
The car is geared for 210 mph, by the way. At 70 my 5-speed is ticking off a perfect 70-mph at 2000 rpm. Do the math, 2000 x 3 = 6000 redline, and 70 x 3 = 210. The manual says the max speed for the 5-speed is 3 mph faster than the auto at 146-mph. Tall gearing is a wonderful thing
It's about time for another oil change. See my recent post in the oil thread. Probably be going to the Mobil-1 15W50 Extended Service, rather than the hassle of the Amsoil drop ship.
