there are only 2 screws holding it on. Open the trunk and remove the one on the end cap. There is another phillips half way down next to the windshield underneath, (have to open door) wiggle them off away from the car. they are held on by a lip. It's easy I took mine off today. for a repaint as well. They are fragile but I wouldn't leave them on though.
