No good way to post a wiring diagram here, plus the diagram for my '89 US car is not accurate. Also, do you still have the original (Blau Reno) radio or an aftermarket unit?
The original unit is powered through the amplifier/booster circuitry under the cover on the right side of the pass seat. That feeds from the 30 bus through fuse 22, through the amp unit and on to the Reno head unit. There's small-signal power for the head unit to tell it when the key is in access position. Might not help a lot. When I replaced the Reno with a newer CD-capable Blau, I had to add some wiring between the feeder at the amp and the nw head unit since I was removing the amp and the wiring would no longer plug in.
Try disconnecting the moles under the right side cover, the one with the two fat red wires, and see if the fuse will survive. If so, you can probably go after the amp as the problem. It will also isolate the radio head unit feed so you can look for your short between the amp and head unit.
Good luck!
