maybe not new, your right. but a newer Vette, M3's, and even some imports like a WRX can be picked up just a few years old, for under 30k and have a lot of performance and reliability left in them. They aren't as inclined to have those rare, discontinued, or expensive parts that some of us are starting too need.
but I'm with you, i still got my 928. but it may be why some people have bailed on the 928
