Exterior only. I never liked any interior coating on anything other than with a real race engine (to aid in oil drainage and windage) that will come apart soon anyway. It's not worth the risk of a chunk of paint coming off and getting in somewhere it doesn't belong- like in your oil pump's regulator valve. Besides, you can't see in there anyway!
