Running rich

No I'm not rich and thank God for this board. My 1988 S4 AT is running rich. Blue/black smoke when I accelerate. I'm not burning any oil. Car starts and runs fine. Starts in the cold better than when hot. I am running without cats (more power). Any suggestions to correct running rich problems? Thanks, David
