I was minding my own business yesterday when an early 90s Stang cruised up beside me giving off that familiar Vortech whine. We got side by side at the next light and when we launched, I pulled 1.5 car lengths on him through each gear and had a nice pull on him up to 4th....until I blew an intercooler hose off. Damn! The car fell off and he went by. I guess it't time for a new longer adapter nipple and better hose clamps at 10 PSI now. I have a set of "constant torque" clamps comong today.
By the way, if anyone with a blower is still blowing pressure through your MAF , stop now!
Move the MAF to the inlet side of the supercharger and you will get a smoother engine with no lean sags at certain RPMs and a MUCH better controlled fuel curve according to the wide band O2. You will even be able to lower your baseline fuel pressure. Just make sure you recirculate your bypass valve into the area between the MAF and blower intake.
