start with 100 grit sandpaper (after being very clean)and work your way up to 150, 220, 300, 400, 400 wet, 600, 600 wet, 800, 800 wet, 1000, 1000 wet, 1200, 1200 wet, 1500,1500 wet, then use a buffer with polishing compound. takes time but is worth the work.
