The radio works...but the manuals disappeared out of the car...along with the radio manual and code cards. I'm now trying to get the PO to get the code for me...so I may be in the same fix again! To resolve the first radio issue, I just bought a refurbished CDR-210 from Stereo Specialists or whatever their name is (NC). Works great...but I'd like the codes to these radios I'm accumulating. Well...when I bought my 968, the CR-1 radio worked all the way home, until I unhooked the battery, did some work, then hooked it back up. The plastic cards that came with the car have the wrong code numbers on them. I think the PO had a fancy deck in there and, just prior to selling to me, put back an older CR1. Either he put the wrong manual in or the wrong radio. I don't live near a Porsche dealer and am not sure what to do. By the way, the CR-1 is made by Alpine and not the supplier that you apparently can get codes from.
