There are quite a few connections between the alternator and the voltmeter on the dash, and the voltage at the battery is the correct alternator output. A good winter project would be to go thru the electrical system, cleaning and tightening connections... Wally Plumley

While it is possible that the oil cooler hoses are leaking, it is much more likely that the power steering hoses are the source of the oil, especially if you evcer have to add Dexron to the power steering reservoir. The usual problem is that the end of the return hose swells and leaks where it is clamped. There may be enough hose to allow you to cut it off and reclamp one time.
