Unless you live in a vacuum you've all heard about the earthquake here. It was a 6.7, equivalant to the Northridge, CA quake in 1994. Lots of infrastructure damage on the big island (Hawaii) mainly due to the second rate construction and complacent attitudes. Maui only experienced limited damage again to less than stellar construction. As least we can flush the toilets on Maui. Flights were cancelled all over including a couple of flights from LA that were turned around half way here. The last quake I recall was in '95 but it was just a quick roll underground. In case you were wondering, the Shark survived. Gotta go, surf's up! Aloha.
