If so, perhaps they could have damaged the rear main seal. If so, oil could end up almost anywhere as it would get thrown about by the spinning clutch/flywheel assembly. Seems a bit unlikely though. If you were leaking brake/clutch fluid, it would make sense that they could have created a problem in bleeding the clutch or if they changed the slave cylinder or it's hose, etc. Just my quick thoughts.

Offhand, the only place I can think an oil leak would come from related to those maintenance tasks would be the timing belt tensioner. As it is located on the lower right front of the motor, it wouldn't seem to be what you describe.
