Vehicle Description
1981 Porsche 911 SC, 204 HP 6-cylinder, 5 speed manual transmission. Guards red with a black interior, factory air conditioner, electric sunroof, front spoiler with "tea tray" Turbo whale tail installed by previous owner. Kenwood CD player. Drilled disc brakes. The following were installed during the restoration: RS style racing door panels, MOMO steering wheel, Blaupunkt speakers, shock tower strut bar installed, secondary air conditioning outlet (sits underneath the dash and attaches to an unused outlet from the A/C system), new dash installed, new deck behind rear seats, Sport seats reupholstered, headliner completely replaced by Howard Cox, the clutch, plate, bearing, and all synchros were replaced, the heater cables and heater ducts replaced, warm up regulator and fuel pump replaced, new shift coupler, new factory fog lamps installed, intake manifold gaskets and air box replaced. Brand new polished Fuchs with hand painted emblems on the center caps purchased from Jones Autowerks in San Antonio in 2005, new tires installed at the same time. All receipts available for work done. Cruise control no longer works, never repaired beacuse I did not use it. I have no information on the car prior to my purchase right before I entered the Air Force. The car appears to have been painted at some time in the mid 90s. The paint is ok, with the associated dings and rock chips of a 25 year old car. The interior was completely redone with the exception of the carpet and rear seats. This car was used as a daily driver until I moved to Louisiana. The heat in Louisiana has forced me to purchase a newer car with better air conditioning. This is a great car that has never failed me on the road.
