Posted by Eric I can't open my hood on a 2000 911 Cab. This problem arose when part of my electrical went out (notably, my alarm doesn't work anymore and some of the courtesy lights up above and on the sides of the doors don't work, but all other electrical works fine, the car starts, etc.) When the electrical went out, it seems to have automatically locked the trunk (hood) compartment since the latch is now extremely rigid with no play in it....seems like there's some locking mechanism engaged now. I checked all the fuses and they seem ok. So, my next guess is that a relay or some other electrical component that controls the flow to multiple systems (as mentioned above) got fried. Has anyone dealt with this and if so, do you know the possible root problem and solution? Many thanks!! Eric
