How do I decide on a bit? I've been riding my horse at home in our riding ring using only the halter with reins. I can't decide if I should use a bit or go with a hackamor or something similiar.
My fear with the bit? I don't trust my hands. I haven't hurt my mustang yet and I don't want to be too hard on her mouth.
